Learning Design Specialist - Engineering

Carbon60 are working with an international airport that require 2x Learning Design Specialists to join their people & learning development team - 1x in their engineering team and 1x in their services team.

Job Specifics
💼 Type: FTC (12-months).
💷 Salary: Up to £50,000 (DOE) + benefits.
📍 Office Location: Hounslow, West London.
🏡 Working Flex: Hybrid - 3 days per week required in the office.
🚆 Commute: Access via the Elizabeth Line or free on-site car parking.

Job Overview
You will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality learning solutions for either the Engineering or Services team, ensuring all training aligns with regulatory, compliance, and competency standards.

Main Responsibilities
➤ Develop and design engaging training programmes, covering both technical and non-technical subjects.
➤ Collaborate with internal SMEs, external suppliers, and trainers to refine and improve content.
➤ Support knowledge transfer and course effectiveness, periodically facilitating training sessions.
➤ Ensure all training solutions meet compliance, legal, and regulatory standards.
➤ Maintain subject matter expertise, keeping up to date with operational developments.
➤ Advocate for a learning culture, promoting professional development opportunities across the organisation

Required Experience & Skills
✔ (Services Role): Certified instructor (CAA register - CIN number required).
✔ (Engineering Role): ONC or at least 5 years' experience in an engineering discipline.
✔ (Engineering Role): IOSH/NEBOSH qualification.

✔ Experience in learning design & delivery, using a variety of methodologies.
✔ Competency-based training knowledge, with experience working to compliance and regulatory frameworks.
✔ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage teams effectively.
