Exciting Opportunity: Avionics Sales Engineer Needed in Basel, Switzerland

About the Avionics Sales Engineer Role
As an Avionics Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing technical sales proposals, managing quotes, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver cutting-edge avionics upgrades for private and business jets. This dynamic role combines your technical expertise with sales and project management skills, allowing you to make a real impact on the company's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the quoting and commercial proposal process for avionics retrofit and modification projects
- Define project scopes in collaboration with the Global Sales department and clients
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to develop labor and material estimates
- Work with the scheduling team to secure hangar and workshop capacity for upcoming projects
- Develop and release commercial proposals, including quotes and contracts
- Provide technical expertise during customer meetings, particularly for cockpit and cabin avionics integration
- Ensure all proposals meet the company's high standards for quality, cost efficiency, and compliance
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer or Avionics Engineer specializing in cockpit and cabin equipment integration
- Strong knowledge of avionics systems, electronic embedded systems, and business/commercial aviation standards
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation, ideally in sales engineering, project management, or quotation roles
- Proven ability to prepare, price, and negotiate proposals with customers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Salesforce and SAP
- Fluent English (C1 level) is required, with French or German as a strong advantage
