Role: Site Manager (Solar PV and/or BESS)
Type: Permanent
Salary: Negotiable
Location: Projects are located across the UK.
Start: As soon as possible

Your role will encompass:

  • Develop schedules, oversee on-site activities, ensure safety compliance, and adjust plans to meet deadlines and project goals
  • Lead and assign tasks to the construction team, enforce quality control, conduct inspections, and maintain safety standards
  • Manage resources and materials, coordinate with suppliers, control costs, and keep within budget
  • Maintain comprehensive records, handle permits, and communicate project status to stakeholders and senior management
  • Address construction issues, ensure client satisfaction, identify risks, and implement mitigation and contingency plans


What you bring to the role: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Energy, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in ground-mounted solar or BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) projects.
  • Successful completion of at least one 20 MW solar or any BESS project.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and deally Construction Management Software such as Procore; knowledge of PV systems, construction practices, and relevant regulations, codes, and standards
  • Strong leadership, team management, and project organisation skills; ability to oversee day-to-day construction activities on-site
  • Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving construction-related issues
  • Strong written and oral communication; experience working in international project settings; professional interaction with clients, engineers, contractors, and team members
